At McCarthy Group, we invest as much in people as we do in the companies which they operate. Most often, our investments are made with managers who also hold ownership stakes in their companies. We currently have more than $200 million in committed capital to invest. This capital provides for equity and debt financing to our portfolio companies from our two existing investment funds: Fulcrum I and Fulcrum II.

Fulcrum I was created in 1999 to invest in private equities and “public companies that should be private.” Initial capital commitments of $100 million were expanded to $125 million to accommodate a $50 million investment in Cabela’s in 2000.

Fulcrum II was created in 2004 and closed in 2005. The $85 million fund is organized to make private equity investments in private and small public companies with established profitability and attractive growth prospects.
